Jordan emphasizes the importance of establishing strong relationships with WorkPlay members. By doing so, you create a memorable experience that fosters comfort and trust during the shoot. As Jordan mentioned, “I think establishing relationships really helps to like differentiate the people that I’m shooting with.” This connection not only makes the members feel valued but also allows Jordan to tailor the shoot to each individual’s personality and brand.
A key aspect of creating great visuals is thorough preparation. Jordan encourages members to plan their outfits ahead of time, which leads to a more efficient and enjoyable shooting experience. Jordan shared, “I think having things organized beforehand is really, really helpful,” highlighting that when everything is set and ready to go, the day of the shoot can flow seamlessly, allowing for more creativity and spontaneity.
Jordan’s calm and chill demeanor plays a significant role in helping members feel at ease during their shoots. Jordan noted, “I feel like my calmness translates to them,” indicating that her relaxed attitude helps to alleviate any anxiety members may have. This calming presence is crucial, especially for those who may be nervous about being in front of the camera, as it creates a supportive environment where they can express themselves freely.
Capturing authentic visuals is essential for reflecting the true essence of the members and their businesses. Jordan explained, “I think just like having visuals that reflect who you are will then impact your business because your business is YOU.” By focusing on authenticity, Jordan ensures that the images resonate with the target audience, making the members more relatable and approachable.
Jordan encourages members to step outside their comfort zones by trying new poses and settings, which can lead to more dynamic visuals. Jordan mentioned, “I like to go through and just… ask if you would be open to trying something new,” demonstrating her commitment to pushing creative boundaries. This willingness to explore new ideas not only enhances the visual content but also empowers members to embrace their uniqueness and creativity.
“Having things organized beforehand is really, really helpful! So for members, maybe that’s a week or two before, you have all your outfits picked out and you kind of associate which outfits you’re going to put with which scenes and which locations.” –Jordan
